The World Wildlife Fund’s Qinling Nature Conservation and Ecotourism Development Project is a three-year project in which panda habitat conservation and eco-tourism will be integrated. This project includes planning for the construction of panda corridors, which will link existing islands of panda habitat. Plans for the construction of an ecological bamboo lodge and eco-trails are also being made in the Laoxiancheng Nature Reserve. This lodge will provide a place to stay for eco-tourists and will be home to an education center. This project will help the local people learn how to build and manage an eco-tourism program as well as teach them about nature conservation.
