The Species Survival Plan (SSP) for the Giant Panda is a conservation and management plan in which member organizations of the AZA work to further the conservation of this endangered species.

BHP Billiton and the China Conservation and Research Centre, Wolong, announced a three-year rolling partnership focused on giant panda habitat preservation and enhancement, panda care and breeding, and the implementation of conservation education programs.
