Loan fees for adults and fees assessed for cubs born have these institutions scrambling for ways to meet the financial terms of their loan agreements with China. Some zoos are seeking to renegotiate their loans in an attempt to ensure that their pandas will be able to remain in the US for the duration of their loan agreement and beyond.
